Question: What determines the adverts you see?
Hi.
I was just wondering what factors come into play when determining which adverts you see online.
I'm talking about the banner ones you see at the side of your screen when you visit sites (e.g. Acai Berry, Dental Products, Credit Ratings etc.)
Or are these put up by the site itself?

PhilAnswer: Some sites use cookies to track keywords you use or information you provide to try to determine which ads might appeal to you. Obviously, it's not an exact science. A guy searching for "girls with big boobs", for example, might not be interested in an advertisement promoting "breast enlargement pills", but that's what he might get.
Other sites base ads on the user's location, and others still just post generic rotating ads to all users. Personally, I think they're all wasting their time. I never buy anything they advertise, not even if it's something I might actually want. Same goes for television, radio, and print advertising; they literally have no effect on me -- even though they might insist that they're having a subliminal impact on my "purchasing decisions". They're really not. I buy what I want, what I need, and what I like, whether or not they spend millions of dollars on advertising every year. It's a complete waste of money, in my opinion, but since advertising dollars help make other services free for my use, I'm not going to complain.

Question: Does anyone else here have morning sickness after eating?
I had the weirdest thing happen to me today. My first meal of the day was a salad with olive oil dressing and blueberry-acai juice and I felt fine. Then, I took my prenatal vitamins and ate a piece of overcooked, nasty bacon that my husband had made. Five minutes later, I was running to the bathroom to throw up.
Have any of you had such a violent reaction to a particular food (the bacon in my case) after already having eaten a decent amount of food? I'm about 4 weeks along, to give a reference point...
Answer: Try switching prenatals. I went thru 2 before finding one that didn't make me puke my guts out.
ALSO, take them at night. That helps.
You can get sick at any time during the day. I had it all day for 6 months. More important, stay hydrated!! Drink more water than you can fathom.
